How to recover designs done outside the artboard in Illustrator CC when saved as a .PDF

hello!

i did file in kept didn't need inside artboards outside them... vectors kept using in other files , in file itself. saved pdf , kept using illustrator file without single complication... 1 bad day tried open again , illustrator stopped recognising file , outside artboards got lost....!! haven't changed file settings nor that...!! need help! please please please if know anyway solve nightmare please tell me , eternally grateful

when ai part of file gone, off-artboard content gone good.

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!! (if have installed arm , delete it, will, on "check updates nothing or common update error ) you nonsense: acrobat updates have been disabled system policy.   error: 100700 if installer ...
