MacBook Pro keeps trying to connect to an unknown server when I open Adobe Reader

i seem have file on macbook pro (15", 2011, os 10.10.4) trying connect external server.  don't know file is, , don't know server is.  happens, every 10 minutes, pop saying "there problem connecting server "n22865.freese.com". server may not exist or unavailable @ time. check server name or ip address, check network connection, , try again."

i tried going freese.com, , kind of sustainability company.  i've never gone website before researching pop up.  called apple support, , after maddening session, best come @ point downloaded file associated website , server , trying connect.  told it's harmless.  maybe, annoying have clear dialog box every 10 minutes.  have searched files containing "freese" no luck.  have done several troubleshooting steps suggested on apple support forums, , have been able narrow down error occurring when open adobe reader (version 11.0.13).  if restart computer, don't popup until open file in reader.  have idea how find out may trying connect, , rid of it?
