Computer hardware setup for Premiere Pro and After Effects CC?

(mid 2010) mac mini/intel core 2 duo, 2.4ghz processor/500gb hd/8gb ram

 

i use mac mini edit in premiere pro , after effects cc. settings in premiere set performance using 6gb ram , editing choppy, not smooth , can't afford newer imac or macbook pro. windows pc hardware specs recommend video editing? looking better alternative without breaking bank.

Error: 100600 Update failed, updates have been disabled by your system policy

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!!
