How do I add a new device to ADE?

i have purchased books sony ereader kobo.  unable load them acsm files.  have followed steps sent me load adobe digital editions, don't "devices" option @ point:

 

10. connect ereader computer , tap connect.
 11. in ade, click gear icon beside devices. click authorize device.
12. select account you'd authorize ereader with.  click authorize device.
13. click ok complete process.

 

 

 

can please advise.

not sonys detected ade. try reader pc/mac program sony.

Maximum number of authorizations reached!
