how to uninstall or delete Adobe Reader XI 11.0,12 MUI file left behind from an uninstall can not downlaod a new version HELP

if on windows system, uninstall reader using cleaner tool download adobe reader , acrobat cleaner tool - adobe labs, else if on mac uninstall dragging application folder trash folder.

then restart system & install latatest acrobat reader dc using link adobe - adobe acrobat reader dc distribution

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!!
