Reduce file size

hi,

 

i have 22 indesign documents have different page sizes , contain 36 different layers in each document. decided consolidate these documents 1. problem i'm having when delete bar 1 of pages new multi page document , save file documents file size doesn't compare size of original single page version of document i.e.

 

original single page document = 3.3mb

multipage document 1 page remaining = 19.5mb

 

i have tried save , overwritten file still no joy in bringing file size down. way can seem make file smaller export document idml.

 

the large document size seems have effect on size of pdf well.

 

original single page document exported pdf = 1.5mb

multipage document 1 page remaining = 9.9mb

 

the contents of both document same it's multipage document has had bar 1 pages deleted.

my guess, , that's is, file retaining multiple page size info, along unused styles , swatches in other pages. idml stripping out.

Error: 100600 Update failed, updates have been disabled by your system policy

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!! (if have installed arm , delete it, will, on "check updates nothing or common update error ) you nonsense: acrobat updates have been disabled system policy.   error: 100700 if installer ...
