Subclip behaves normally in preview window, but when dragged onto timeline there is no video

title pretty says all. have comp made multiple subclips same source file. not huge or complex build means, there new behaviour where, when drag subclips onto timeline, audio shows up. i'm animator not editor , opposite of premiere power user, me being stupid. appreciate help!

 

latest version of premiere, os x 10.9.5

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!!
