AcroExch Error with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

i having issue microsoft office , new adobe acrobat reader dc.  meeting minutes have been embedding handouts (scanned copies) word document containing highlights of meeting.  when attempted yesterday’s meeting, little blue circle kept spinning , able document.  restarted computer , tried again morning.  when did not work, decided start blank document rather template.  received popup states “the program used create object acroexch.  program either not installed on computer
or not responding.  edit object, install acroexch or ensure dialog boxes in acroexch closed.”

 

 

i did little research on problem , found thought might solution of changing way embedded document. https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1260579

 

 

however, when attempted embed document new way, received message adobe acrobat reader dc has
stopped working.   there solution adobe acrobat reader dc?
