Getting the error message: After Effects can't continue: unexpected failure during startup. (OSX El Capitan 10.11.1)
getting error message: "after effects can't continue: unexpected failure during startup." i've paid cc , using relatively new mac why happening?
i'm using osx el capitan 10.11.1, looking other threads workaround create new user on os , run through that, aware of way open it?
computer: macbook pro 2015 15"
reset preferences default. [ trash after effects preferences files ]
provide full permissions preferences folder under ~/library.
1) right click on finder icon and select "go-to" folder option.
2) text box, type-in below command , hit 'return' key.( not miss ~ symbol)
~/library
it open user library, inside locate folder named preferences.

right click on preferences.folder , select "getinfo" option.
expand sharing & permissions section.
click lock icon in lower-right corner. enter administrator user name , password when prompted, , click ok.
please click on '+' symbol , open list of user accounts. add logged in user name , administrator option,
then provide "read & write" permission currently logged in user name , administrator option,.
click gear icon, , select apply enclosed item. close get info dialog box.
open preferences folder , trash after effects preference files.
also provide full permissions both adobe folders under both user , system libraries .

then run disk utility , repair disk permissions once , repair disk permissions .
then launch after effects cc app , check.
