Missing AcroRead.MSI after reverting from Windows 10 to 7

when reverted windows 10 windows 7 (because ms word 2007 not work), found not open (view) pdf files - reinstalled pdf reader , "dc" version installed not work, reporting error below. unable uninstall (did not appear in installed programmes listing) , new "clean" install reported newer version in situ.

 

i looked in folder identified in screen grabs below path did not exist , acroread.msi not present anywhere on system.

 

i tried cleanup tool recommended on forum , after restart did fresh install using link same posting still reported error shown.

 

i tried same process install version xi same thing happened.

 

the final error shown after 2 messages below appeared report later version existed on system.

 

i appreciate wisdom on how overcome dilemma if has experienced before? many gp

please uninstall reader using cleaner tool download adobe reader , acrobat cleaner tool - adobe labs, restart system & reinstall using link http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!!
