Help With Image Trace on Illustrator CC?

hello,

 

i having trouble trying image trace bitmap of line drawing. on cs5, found 1 color logo setting worked this. in cc, tracing isn't @ all... image can come out bits missing or 'blobby' looking. i've fiddled presets, checked ignore white box, still can't satisfactory trace of line drawing, feel should easy do? ideas?

i afraid known (new) issue/feature/change of way of working.

 

the best advice may trace in cs5 , use in cc, pure , simple.

 

obviously, requires having cs5 (re)installed, why not?
