What is the server name secret for connecting FM12 and SharePoint 10?

all attempts connect fm12 , sharepoint 10 result in message: "the request failed http status 404: not found."

 

in fm12, opened connection manager, selected sharepoint, , entered:

  • connection name
  • server , site address
  • user name
  • password

 

the sharepoint site displays when enter server , site address in browser, sharepoint , fm aren't talking each other reason.

 

i tried entering possible versions of "server , site address" in fm connection manager no success.

http://servername/sites/xyzzy

http://servername/sites/

http://servername/sites

http://servername/

http://servername

 

i added port number @ end of server name suggested in tip below server field "(e.g. http://server:port)" , got "status 400: bad request" message.

 

what's secret getting past step?

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!!
