Can't import from Nikon D600 "no photos found"

i can't import images lightroom nikon d600. message "no photos found" (see screen shot). have couple of hundred images on camera (i can browse them without difficulties on camera). in raw format. i'm running lightroom 5.7 on macbook air (el capitan). imported images (raw format) olympus om-d e-m10 without difficulties. i've double checked drive i'm trying import to, , it's set full read , write permissions. import same drive , have used lightroom d600 long time. i've never had issue before.

 

can help?

check cable , try different usb ports. if possible, use card reader see if works. can view contents of camera card operating system?

Error: 100600 Update failed, updates have been disabled by your system policy

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!!
