Discrepancy between Show in Finder photo location and Source Pathway on left screen

here how organisation looks in lr:

 

 

and import on left side looks like:

 

 

when go photo such 1 in lr above , ask “show in finder” following:

 

i have no idea how desktop folder got in paul lightroom catalog folder (i set show photographer friend of photos before left), somehow getting photos when load them.

the correct storage want is:

 

 

 

when go import right upper corner shows:

 

is problem destination location set in right upper corner below macintosh hd? saving photos on external drive , seem in paul lightroom, etc folder.

 

also, when go file (see below) thinks these new photo, when in fact have imported them , made changes in develop.

 

 

i don’t want lose changes make on trip far , don’t know if setup confuse catalog. don’t understand discrepancy between think importing photos , show in finder location, et.
