Always show 'you are using an old flash player' in IE8

i have installed latest adobe flash, in page in ie8, said 'you using old flash player'?  can me can fixed? capture.png

i'm assuming on windows xp, correct?

 

did restart browser after installing latest version?  if not, please try that.

 

if it's still not detecting latest version, perform clean install, see faq how do clean install of flash player - windows? details.

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!!
