simple dashed line

hi using photoshop cc 2015

 

i went in , used line tool , pen tool -- , stroked selections

 

but i'd know how make simple dashed line in photoshop.

 

if select line tool , mess fill stroke, pt, , dash gap dash gap settings -- -- result appears mess.

 

can photoshop used draw various kinds of dashed lines nowadays?

i guess make things more clear -- want control on dashes.

Maximum number of authorizations reached!
