General Advice re Database connections

hi

 

i looking @ converting existing form current configuration data user entered, configuration form pulls data database stored on network share.

 

my question versions of acrobat / reader / livecycle required achieve this. have looked @ diagram below exaplins lot want check understanding

the above suggests use database connection need 'reader enable' form using livecycle re? correct? there anyway use database connection without re?

 

if way forward options regarding re? exactly? how license work? approx cost?

 

if makes difference - form used <500 times in it's lifetime. users have reader only.

 

can share experience / knowledge here please?

Error: 100600 Update failed, updates have been disabled by your system policy

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!! (if have installed arm , delete it, will, on "check updates nothing or common update error ) you nonsense: acrobat updates have been disabled system policy.   error: 100700 if installer ...
