Polygonal Lasso Tool - Warning no pixels are more than 50% selected. The Selection edges will not be visible.

i have tried hours without success clip portion of photo using "polygonal lasso tool" , keep getting error "warning no pixels more 50% selected. selection edges not visible".  no matter solution seems suggest change "feathering".  i've done that.  repeatedly 0 success.  there has solution.  can please?  thank you.

you set feather in tool options bar 0 px (zero) before using polygonal lasso tool?

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!!
