I installed InDesin in 2013 but have never needed to use it until now. It will not open. Likewise, Adobe Acrobat from the same time will not update.

i have used acrobat , photoshop extensively, , updated cs5 in 2013. photoshop worked fine acrobat 9 not update properly. have tried open indesign (i use 'pages') refuses open. i'm using os x 10.8.5 on macbook pro (retina, 2012).

if indesign worked in past , not try , clear out preferences.  rid of shortcuts , custom settings have added presets printers , export

  1. (windows) start indesign, , press shift+ctrl+alt. click yes when asked if want delete preference files.
  2. (mac os) while pressing shift+option+command+control, start indesign. click yes when asked if want delete preference files.

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!!
