Installation issue for Acrobat Pro DC Upgrade (Perpetual License)

i bought perpetual license acrobat pro dc upgrade. adobe's website states if own if own acrobat pro x or xi – or acrobat standard x or xi – qualify reduced price when purchasing perpetual (one-time) license. own creative suites 5.5 design premium. acrobat pro x part of package. when tried install upgrade, not take valid serial number.

 

no on adobe's website can find creative suite 5.5 not qualify upgrade. did throw away $200?

you eligible upgrade if own acrobat x or acrobat xi stand alone , not part of creative suite.

you upgrade standalone version standalone version , creative suite package creative cloud package only.

in have opt full version of acrobat dc only.

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!!
