Exceedingly Long Render Time

hi there.  i'm new after effects , trying render slideshow template purchased fluxvfx called 100 photos slideshow.  talked support , told me should take approximately 1-2 hours render project.  however, on first try, waited 7 hours , got 1 minute of 2 1/2 minute slideshow in quicktime. 

 

i running after effects 2015

on 4g macbook air 1.7 ghz intel core i5 , 120.11 gb free memory.

i cleared cache going preferences > media & disks > empty disk cache.

render settings: best settings; quicktime (video codec h.264 @ 75% quality)

i reached out company purchased template , told me clear cache going edit > purge > memory & disk cache.  when did this, estimated render times went 24 hours 117 hours.  suspect there setting amiss somewhere in program or on computer, new program , unfamiliar be.  advice appreciated.  doing wedding on saturday, , need figure out soon!

these cc 2015 issues. uninstall instal cc 2014.
