How upload video tape to Mac Pro/Premiere Pro?

have videotape 1080i hdv , sony camera.  using fire wire connection mac pro mac/premier pro doesn't recognize , result i've been unable upload video premiere pro.  know there way sure can't find , premiere pro chat person unable help; if didn't know asking about??
