Application Manager cannot open - claims to be damaged or missing

when try open application manager crashes , pop-up box says "the adobe application manager needed resolve problem. missing or damaged".
the dialog box provides link download , reinstall application manager.

 

i followed , downloaded exe-file try , reinstall. when initializing setup exact same message appears again, , i'm stuck.


what can make aam working again? don't know why suddanly - has worked fine before. it's frustrating!

Error: 100600 Update failed, updates have been disabled by your system policy

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!!
