Filter Gallery greyed out

i'm working on large stock photo used wall mural. i've converted layer smart object, i've done smaller files, in oder apply filter filter gallery mask ugliness happens enlargement i've unable access filter gallery (greyed out). other filter options accessible.

 

  • file specs: .jpg rgb 72ppi 470 in x 120 in. 
  • app: ps cc 2015.01

 

would adobe limit files size 1 use filter gallery filters reason?

 

 

any appreciated.

may bit depth of document.

you can check selecting image > mode >


make sure bit depth 8 bits/channel.

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!!
