Goodbye, Adobe

dear adobe,

as video content producer, interested in adobe products provide me way create better, higher-quality content.  had absolutely no interest in creative cloud, first purchased flash professional cs6 keep software.  experienced, bug-free piece of software used make cool little animations.  decide little while later see if can purchase after effects cs6.

i'm afraid lost customer.  have taken away perpetual licenses in favor mess of concept.  have pay forever?  high?  have seen autodesk has done?  they've offered perpetual licenses in addition "pay forever" model, , they're not going under.

do think have interest in paying eternity?  think after 100th time of customer support asking me if want "purchase creative cloud"" i'm going give free reign on wallet?

let me give short answer:  no.

i'm not coming until perpetual licenses offered.  i'm not calling stupid "cs6 hotline" have come call because know you're going make unfortunate man spout off how he'd me buy creative cloud.  how can buy don't own?

so let me leave this:  competitors either cheaper, or better.

blender , autodesk maya after effects , maya offers perpetual licenses.

sony vegas premiere does, , own when buy it.

fl studio , audacity of audition does, , audacity free, , fl studio updates free every time there's new version.

 

goodbye, adobe.  learn means respect customers , gladly pay $1000 1 piece of software because if wasn't creative cloud, i'd buy adobe software.
