Fillable form shows field entry until I go to another field.

using acrobat reader dc - windows 10. trying complete fillable form. fields show light purple. click in field - goes white text cursor, type in text leave field text disappears. same behavior on windows 7 machine.

 

under pdf properties - description - advanced

  - pdf producer - acrobat distiller 7.0.5 (windows) 

  - pdf version   -  1.4 (acrobat 5.x)

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!!
