How to convert multiple Illustrator files into single PDF document containing multiple pages?

i have 24 single adobe illustrator documents need turn single pdf document containing 24 pages. please help. need stick illustrator ? far couldn't couldn't figure how convert indesign properly. thanks!

if illustrator files saved pdf compatibility on, rename copies of originals use .pdf instead of .ai , use acrobat pro combine separate pdf files single pdf.

 

if have indesign, can create 24 page document , batch place 24 .ai file needed (place image, move next page etc), export out pdf.

 

similar indesign, can create 24 artboard .ai file , place separate .ai files , save out pdf including arboards.

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!!
