InDesign CS5 in El Capitan; crash on quit

everything seems work fine except font display gets wonky after it's been accessed once, crashes on quit second time it's been opened. quits ok first time it's closed (after system restart), suggests indesign having problem finding @ close, maybe? maybe there's place wants save , can't because write permission isn't defaulted on in el cap? fact font display doesn't suggests might associated it. i've made sure read/write enabled in library adobe, , adobe , preferences in user, it's driving me crazy. what's changed since yosemite? ran fine under yosemite. did re-install; no fix. photoshop , illustrator work fine. many pages of cryptic gobbledegook in failure report aren't help.

i know, know; isn't supported el cap. still, ran under yosemite , el cap supposed minor change. ha.

ideas?

you lucky yosemite. lots of people have had problems cs5 , yosemite.

for el capitan, need go system preferences > general  , turn off automatically show/hide menu bar prevent crashes.
