Can't change a color of type in Swatches??

i've never seen in ten years of using indesign. i've got type. want color it. select type. in swatches, choose type icon. choose dark blue color. nothing happens. doesn't change color, not blue. why happening? i've closed , restarted id twice now. it's driving me nuts.

 

i'm using 2015.1 cc, on mac.

Maximum number of authorizations reached!
