Alternative for image mapping in Fluid Grid Layout Dreamweaver CS6

hello ~

i use image mapping fgl when images in columns , therefore size of image doesn't alter between devices.

i need solution when image takes whole screen, therefore altering between devices.

to date i've needed 1 link image , have included 3 maps, 1 of cover area in each device. not great works.

when need other links page, isn't going work.

what think of z-index css margins, padding , floats? i've never had luck z-index although have thoroughly researched staking order etc.

or there simpler? page talking about.

just know, image maps don't work on ios8 (apple) smart devices.

personally, rather have root canal try make image maps work on devices , % width layouts. it's painful think about.

you might want investigate svgs.

stacking order works on positioned elements (absolute, fixed or relative).

on static elements, z-index nothing @ all.
