Filter by Attribute expressions in templates

fyi, cannot create expression use filter attribute unless document contains instance of each attribute mentioned. in particular, cannot store such expressions in template unless template contains elements necessary attributes. if want provide users empty template , predefined attribute expressions, can give them empty body pages, , put elements needed attributes on reference page.

lynne, remarkable how long "can't" list feature. like, how can't recognize multiple values tokenized whitespace, standard convention of xml. like, how can't conditional indicators @ all. how can't establish central library of filtering expressions. how can't consider other nature of rich markup in structured document, aside attribute values.  submit again useless in serious publication environment. it's clear case of invented people never use type of functionality. it's frustrating considering model of proper functionality (imho of course) had been on display years prior.
