Desktop version of site not displaying on touchscreen computers + Chrome only loading mobile version

is experiencing same issue, or of us? if haven't checked site on multiple browsers on touchcsreen displays, should!

 

i have 2 different muse built sites, both experiencing same issue - desktop/laptop running windows 8.1 touchscreen capabilities enabled being served tablet version, rather desktop version. result, website see left-aligned, half standard window size , looks unprofessional.

 

the work-around i've come delete tablet version , have desktop version served every machine except cell phones. leads additional problem in chrome seems serve mobile version on touchscreen desktop displays - when has choice between desktop , mobile layouts. of current muse release, problem still issue.

 

the media queries need compensate or restrict options related screen size only.

 

i called adobe customer support , told looking - 6 months ago, no response or follow after.

 

there similar post has been mistakenly marked 'answered', postings, not - i'm opening new discussion.

this issue seems go year , half - far long such significant display issue.

 

adobe folks - please in there , kick it's butt! (or let know how fix).

the old thread cite bug introduced in update of google chrome. particular issue resolved long ago, first putting workaround in update of muse , later google fixing bug in chrome.

 

there still remains fact w3c , browser vendors have failed provide reliable information identifying whether device should classified tablet or desktop device. they've punted on question. muse uses minimum dimension of screen (horizontal or vertical) , support multi-touch events indicators tablet device.

 

a device touch screen , display that's 960 reference pixels or less in either dimension classified tablet. (if it's less 370, it's phone.) enables standard ipad classified tablet.

 

is reference behavior of chrome loading phone layout on computer windows 8 or windows 10?
