How do I synchronize bookmarks between Adobe Digital Editions on multiple platforms

when looking @ description of ade appears supports synchronizing bookmarks yet have not been able make happen.  have ade on macbook , on ipad , bookmarks created on macbook not transferred ipad.  feature being misrepresented on adobe's website??

looking @ description of ade, mentions bookmarks, mentions while ebook without drm can copied between machines, bookmarks stay original machine. may not have ability share bookmarks. think need download ebook each of platforms, rather have happen automatically.

 

we've got bit spoiled way ibooks , share books, mail , across apple platforms, based on apple id. however, there isn't equivalent system between apple, windows , android platforms (wonder why....?), there isn't os process manage this.

 

hate disappoint you.... maybe there way this, if bookmarks, etc., can exported file , transferred other machine. without backroom system pass things around, messy changes on different machines @ different time.
