How do I transfer RAW files (complete with settings) from Lightroom 5 to Lightroom 6 library?

i have upgraded lr6 lr5,

after importing library  lh5 noticed raw files hadn't transferred settings adjustments had made.

is there way keep settings when transferring images? thought automatically!!

obviously, don't want have redo photographs take years.

anyone know how this?

start lr6, press ctrl+o, select current lr5 catalog.

 

no importing involved!!

lr6 make copy of lr5 catalog , upgrade 'copy' work lr6. library remains was.

(do not try re-open lr5 original catalog second time. )

Maximum number of authorizations reached!
