images do not fit in frame in Display. they look fine in the video track. they need to be rotated. when they are rotated and displayed in display area, the heads are cut off

when making movie, frames fine on video track.  need rotated.  when rotatted, big display.  heads cut off.  render video , burn cd , heads still cut off.

what version of premiere elements , computer operating system?

 

what importing project - photos (what pixel dimensions , how many) , video (frame size , frames rate , other format details)?

are imports portrait or landscape oriented when first imported , viewed in edit area monitor?

if go edit menu/preferences/general find preference default scale frame size enabled (with check mark) or disabled (without check mark)?

 

what manually or project automatically setting project preset (project settings) match properties of source media?

 

the simple answer click on edit area monitor bring image's bounding box , use 1 of bounding box's handles scale image fit space (as best possible) in monitor established project settings.

 

but simple answer not right answer. need @ source media properties , project settings determine have , needs done.
