After Effects Render/Playback Issue?

on top of line mac pro , 2 new 27" imacs having issue ae stops rendering , playing back. when glitches gets stuck on last frame on when scrub change black frame on when glitched. if try playback doesn't start moving playhead , no matter place playhead , won't render frame or show has. can set render when hit render button sits @ first frame , won't render anything. issue persistent across multiple different projects. re-opening ae fixes issue temporarily i'd resolve issue.

things i've tried resolve issue are,

purging cache

purging all

resetting preferences

re-installing aftereffects

i talked adobe 45 minutes no avail , don't see similar on forums. if has ideas or suggestions try i'm ears.

 

the on mac osx 10.10.5 , using after effects 2015.

ditch ae cc 2015 time being -- it's notorious train wreck.  cast jaundiced eye on pololyanna-like claims upcoming bug fix cure-all.  adobe's recent track record isn't best in world.

 

you're on cloud, ae cc 2014.  works.

Error: 100600 Update failed, updates have been disabled by your system policy

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!!
