Cannot save PDF as reduced file size. Help!

i using acrobat xi (version 11.0.07) on both imac , macbook pro.  both 2015 models, top spec running osx el capitan.

 

i have been able create pdfs , save them reduced size pdfs.  however, every time try save pdf reduced size pdf conversion warning window popping saying "please check if have permission write location , have sufficient disk space."

 

i same message on both computers.  person uses them, have full administrator permissions , there more enough disk space on them.  can still create original pdfs in acrobat.  won't let me save them smaller files.

 

any ideas anyone?

please open acrobat xi, navigate menu & check updates, install updates version 11.0.13 make compatible os.

now try replicate issue.
