Auto-scanning common locations issues

when try import in new 2015.2.1 scans common locations automatically , hangs ages... have rid of feature or @ least allow people turn if off.

why can't make our own minds want rather auto doing things mess software. if i'm importing know want import why want auto scan , make computer sit there hour.

this professional tool being dumbed down... new import interface awful.

 

i can't import @ moment because scans , hangs.

is there way turn off..??

  • try unchecking show "add photos" screen under preferences - general
  • restart ps , check again.

Error: 100600 Update failed, updates have been disabled by your system policy

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!!
