Paint tool glitzing out

i'm new painting on ps, , every time use use paint tool works few minutes , suddenly, without me doing far can tell, starts acting strangely.  instead of drawing when stylus on screen, connects draw straight line, it's playing connect-the-dots.  starts "beach balling" (ps only, rest of computer works fine) can't fix it.  ideas?

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!!
