Opening PDFs outside Firefox / Acrobat Reader DC did not install successfully

i'm new win 10 , trying firefox browser open in acrobat reader instead of built-in firefox reader.  followed mozilla instructions use

acrobat reader open pdfs. i've checked these settings 8 times , shows use acrobat reader instead of built-in reader.

 

these settings worked in win 8, not working in win 10.  despite correct firefox settings, pdfs still open in built-in reader.

 

i considered maybe needed download reader dc.  acrobat reader 9 pro.  however, when tried install that, got "adobe acrobat reader dc did not install successfully."

 

so, have frustrating two-layered problem.

may know version of firefox using?

 

also if facing issue installation of reader dc try this:

 

uninstall previous version using adobe reader cleaner tool.download adobe reader , acrobat cleaner tool - adobe labs

then install acrobat reader dc here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
