Feature Request : Apply rating (or flaging or colorlabeling) at once to all photos within a collapsed StackS, by holding a key..

feature request :

 

apply rating  (or flagging or color-labeling)   @ once photos within of collapsed stack (not having unfold first),

for instance rendered enabled simultaneously holding down key wile rating.

 

for instance :  select coverphoto of closed stack of images (possibly different color lables , ratings within), hit s+1, , keep individual colors set them "back" same 1 star rating, etc. - without having confronted have see them first.)

 

also consider 1 might legitimately  want to select multiple of collapsed stacks, or mix of collapsed stacks amongst photos not have virtual copies, , label them, instance, select targeted , one-time hitting 7 have them yellow labeled (not having go , open (and lable) each stacks individually.

 

( know (took time ;-)   stack can un-stacked  and  "photos within selected" (for rating affect all)   if  "maj"  hold wile mouse-clicking  on stack-icon.

(wile without holding "maj", stack unfolding (as shortcut "s" on selected stack), top-photo of stack remains selected. not ideal wish, , requires mouse.to hit precisely small icon istead of select 'top-photo' of stack.)

many people have complained on years , other aspects of how lr handles stacks.  please add vote , detailed opinion topic in official adobe feedback forum: lightroom: when selecting collapsed stack, provide option apply changes photos in stack. (this forum here user-to-user forum in adobe product developers participate.)
