Editing photos on an external hard drive using two different computers- a laptop and a desktop

hi have photos on external drive. want edit photos on desktop @ home , able work on them on laptop when mobile. catalog stored on external hard drive. changes have made photographs on laptop don't seem have been saved onto external hard drive when looked on lightroom tonight on desk top.

the file looked @ tonight native import of original photograph not showing of editing did earlier today.

 

any suggestions on i'm going wrong.

the adjustments make in lightroom stored within catalog itself. not make changes directly original files.

so not find changes on original images.

 

if not able see edit in lightroom itself, please make sure have opened same catalog external hard drive on both computers.
