Form action to a new page

i having difficulty in getting new page load after completing form.  when execute <form> line action="inv_post.php" (as below) works perfectly.

 

<form action="inv_post.php" method="post">  <!-- beginning of form ....... -->

 

but when try call function (goinvpost) action= validate entries , go new form, error page follows:

my line of: <form action="goinvpost" method="post">  <!-- beginning of form ....... -->

results in url looking http://localhost/112faa_site/admin/goinvpost

object not found!

the requested url not found on server. link on the referring page seems wrong or outdated. please inform author of that page about error.

of course, it's looking page goinvpost , not executing function.  can't find correct structure form action line.

you can't call function in forms action field?  functions go in page form on check validation before getting sent .php processing page or might go in .php processing page itself.
