Photo Albums have disappeared.

all, 3 of photo albums have disappeared photoshop elements 11 photoshop premier.  pictures on computer. had pictures nicely organized in chronological order in photo shop. in addition,  neither above mentioned programs allowing me option start on again create new albums replace ones gone.  appreciated in how can resolve issue.  thanks.
