How to restore lost collections

last week, cleared off c:\ drive, moved 2014 files external, including picture folders lightroom. didn't touch 2015 files because wanted able access them without having hook external. 2 days later, open lightroom , of 2015 collections had created gone, vanished, found, on top of presets either created myself, purchased or obtained free gone. how can restore these short of resetting laptop day before disappeared.

one possibility (accidentally) opened empty catalog. try using file->open recent , open each catalog shown there until find 1 want.

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!!
