Importing Issues

i use mac , i'm using lightroom version 5.7.1. having major issues while trying import photos. first issue have is taking excessive amount of time import photos , long times out , not import photos. secondly, photos getting imported, half of them images distorted. images either not come way through or imported upside down. 1 familiar issue?

Maximum number of authorizations reached!
