Lightroom CC Locking Up on Mac

ive went lightroom cc desktop version on 10.10.5 macbook pro. i've had number of issues catalogs etc , have following issue.

 

when trying import images, takes 20 minutes lightroom com allow me point folder. process can 15-20 minutes. suspect thing can uninstall , reinstall software using cc console:

my questions are:

 

1) proper course of action

2) there house keeping issues should before uninstall

3) can reinstall same cc console, correct?

4) other suggestions make life easier openly accepted

the recent lightroom cc has serious lockup , slowness , crashing issues, on mac os x. reinstalling not help. can try disabling "add photos screen" in preferences->general or disable gpu acceleration in preferences->performance. if neither helps best thing install 2015.1.1. instructions here: http://www.lightroomqueen.com/how-do-i-roll-back-to-lightroom-2015-1-1-or-lightroom-6-1-1/ adobe officially acknowledges problems new import here: lightroom 6.2 import update , has similar instructions on rolling not easy follow victoria's above.

Error: 100600 Update failed, updates have been disabled by your system policy

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!!
