Adobe Audition CC 2014 crashes when I do a windows search

just started having problem when company upgraded adobe audition cc on windows 8 laptops. while searching through library effects on external hard drive. windows search window go "not responding". when close window, adobe audition cc crashes , have not saved in session lost. so did test. searched hard drive adobe cc closed , adobe cc open. here results:

 

windows search on hard drive adobe audition cc closed – works fine. able find library sounds, preview, etc.

windows search on hard drive adobe audition cc open – search window becomes unresponsive , closing window crashes adobe session.

 

i hope has heard of problem. windows search feature essential part of work habits.

never heard of 1 before. slow down windows search happen when searching audio file or when start play files preview them on windows page? if happens once have previewed file audition's crash may due fact windows has stolen audio interface driver away audition. audio interface , driver using?

 

secondly if using audition cc should automatically have updated cc 2015. might make difference.
