Adobe Audition CS6 not passing on sampling rate to DAC

my dac lynx hilo asio driver. displays sample rate of whatever's being played through it. problem is, whenever use adobe audition cs6, sample rate on hilo not change match sample rate of music being played in audition.

 

in more detail, setup powerful windows 10 desktop pc loaded adobe audition cs6 , load of music files. connected usb cable lynx hilo dac. lynx driver asio , set asio playback.

 

let's switch on hilo , it's displaying default sample rate of 44.1 khz. if launch adobe audition, can play music file sample rate display 44.1 khz on hilo. not change, whatever sample rate throw @ it.

 

but if close down audition , instead launch jriver media center , start playing same music files through same asio driver same lynx hilo, hilo , accurately changes sample rate match file throw @ it.

 

as final test, let's last file play through jriver has sample rate of 192 khz. sample rate still showing on hilo when close jriver down. if launch audition, every file play rendered on hilo @ 192 khz regardless of actual sample rate of file itself. not change long remain inside adobe audition.

 

i'd tempted fault hilo or driver flaw in argument both work jriver. why not audition?

i've opened thread on lynx support forum because i'm not sure problem lies.

 

edit: forgot say, i've tried on windows 10 pc same result. i've swapped cables, tried different usb sockets, reinstalled audition, reinstalled asio driver, reinstalled hilo firmware, reinstalled usb controllers  - name it, i've checked it.

i think answer this, based on use of cs6, audition automatically resample output match whatever sample rate of audio interface set to, rather forcing interface match audition's files.

 

if, set-up above, (lynx on 44.1khz, aa playing 48khz file) if bottom left corner of waveform screen should see little message says "resampling output match audio device".
