Bounding Box and true size of font inAi cs6

sorry newbie question,  have 2 questions    .....

 

1...since im trying teach myself can watching videos etc, make decals , doing great 1 thing found in cs6 when create font , have settings set inches , select lets 4" tall font , type out looks good, when bring on side ruler turned on ,it shows not 4", under 1 inch (just example not accurate number),, im not sure why doing cause have bring cutting software make decals in , resize in there accurate.. ?????

 

2. why bounding box have space under ? when want transform image or design proper size font not correct either,is there way have image or font selected , give correct size etc..????     hope asked these correctly .thank willing help.. dwayne

Error: 100600 Update failed, updates have been disabled by your system policy

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!! (if have installed arm , delete it, will, on "check updates nothing or common update error ) you nonsense: acrobat updates have been disabled system policy.   error: 100700 if installer ...

i trying batch process nef , dng files when error comes up: "referenceerror: window not have constructor : 325"   the same problem comes when trying batch processed files in same locations.   running cs6 bridge 5.0.2.4 ps 13.06x64   help!!! hi,   let try reset preferences of photoshop press , hold alt+control+shift (windows) or option+command+shift (mac os) start photoshop. prompted delete current settings. new preferences files created next time start photoshop. note: using keyboard shortcut, preference files custom shortcuts, workspaces, , color settings reset default.   thanks More discussions in Photoshop adobe
